2. What data we collect and how
We collect two types of information depending on how you interact with our website:
A. Data collected automatically (via cookies and analytics tools)
When you browse athryx.tech, we automatically collect certain technical data to understand how the site is used and to improve its performance. This includes:
- Device information (device type, operating system, browser used)
- General location data (country or city level, derived from IP address, without precise individual geolocation)
- Behaviour data (pages visited, time spent on page, links clicked)
- We use the following third-party tools for this collection:
- Google Analytics: Collects web traffic and user behaviour data. IP addresses are anonymised by Google before storage, so we cannot identify you directly.
- Vercel Analytics: A performance-focused analytics tool (load speed, errors, basic interactions). Vercel Analytics is designed for privacy, it does not collect or store Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and does not use long-term tracking cookies.
B. Data you provide voluntarily (via direct communication channels)
We collect personal data when you voluntarily choose to start a conversation with us via the contact form, email, or WhatsApp:
By email (contact@athryx.tech): When you email us, we collect your email address, your name (if attached to your account), and any project information or details you choose to include in the message body.
By WhatsApp (+40 752814534): When you use the WhatsApp button to contact us, we collect your phone number, your profile name in the app, and the content of messages you send.
C. Data collected via the contact form
The contact form on our website collects the following fields: name (required), email (required), phone (optional), and message (required).
Purpose of processing: responding to inquiries, questions, and quote requests submitted through the form.
Legal basis: Steps at the data subject’s request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), where you request a quote or collaboration, or Legitimate interest in receiving, processing, and responding efficiently to messages from prospective clients or partners (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Data submitted via the form is processed through Google Apps Script and stored in Google Sheets, operated by Google LLC.
3. Purposes and legal bases for processing
We process your data for the following purposes:
- To optimise and analyse the website (Google & Vercel Analytics): Legal basis: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), expressed via the cookie banner for Google Analytics, and Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) for strictly anonymous technical performance analytics provided by Vercel.
- For advertising and remarketing (Meta Pixel): Legal basis: Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), expressed via the Marketing/Advertising category in the cookie banner. Meta Pixel only activates after you explicitly consent to this category.
- To respond to your requests (Contact form / Email / WhatsApp): Legal basis: Steps at the data subject’s request prior to entering a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), where you request a quote or collaboration, or Legitimate interest in receiving, processing, and responding efficiently to messages from prospective clients or partners (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
4. How long we retain data
We do not store your personal data longer than necessary for the purposes for which it was collected:
- Conversations and data received via the contact form, email, or WhatsApp are kept for as long as needed to handle your request (e.g. sending a quote). If the interaction becomes a commercial engagement, data is retained for the contract duration plus the legally required archiving period. If no collaboration follows, messages are deleted periodically.
- Data collected via Google Analytics is retained according to standard settings (typically 14 months), after which it is automatically deleted.
- Aggregated Vercel Analytics data contains no identifying elements and is kept in statistical form only.
5. Data recipients (who we share data with)
Your data may be shared only with trusted service providers that help us operate the website and our business:
- Google LLC (for Google Analytics), data may be transferred to the USA under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
- Google LLC (for Google Apps Script / Google Sheets, processing of contact form submissions), form data is transmitted and stored via Google services operated by Google LLC.
- Vercel Inc. (for hosting and technical analytics).
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (for WhatsApp, if you contact us via this channel), data is processed according to WhatsApp Business security policies.
- Meta Platforms, Inc. (for Meta Pixel, advertising and remarketing), used exclusively based on your consent for the Marketing/Advertising category in the cookie banner.
- Public authorities, only where we have a legal obligation to do so.
6. Your rights under GDPR
As a data subject, you have the following rights, which you may exercise at any time:
